Everyone And You
© Muskan Chandak
When everyone left me,
You entered in.
When everyone lost me,
You kept on me.
When everyone cheated on me,
You loved me.
When everyone laughed at me,
You cried with me.
When everyone failed,
You helped me to succeed.
When everyone brought a devil out of me,
You brought an angel.
When everyone robbed,
You were the goal I achieved.

The Arrow And The Song
© Henry Wadsworth
I shot an arrow into the air,
It fell to earth, I knew not where;
For, so swiftly it flew, the sight
Could not follow it in its flight.
I breathed a song into the air,
It fell to earth, I knew not where;
For who has sight so keen and strong,
That it can follow the flight of song?
Long, long afterward, in an oak
I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end,
I found again in the heart of a friend.

I Love You, Friend
© Jerson
Every time I look at you,
I feel there’s something new.
My friend, my dearest friend,
I don’t know what makes you
Special in my heart.
It’s been a long time
That we’ve been together.
The happiness and sorrow
That we share with each other,
The problems that we solve together,
Our experiences make our relationship stronger.
I don’t care what other people will say
Because of my heart’s decision.
My friend, Listen to me.
I’m lucky I found you.
I treat you as my friend,
And now my heart chose you as my love.
Because during the time we cross our sight
Or see each others eyes,
I realize that God is there.

Once And Now
© Mike Critchfield
As a cloud wafting through the sky,
Blowing with the wind,
Never quite complete in form,
Ever sought, ever evading.
Gust after gust reforming, renewed,
Sometimes to dissolve away.
Then again to be reborn,
In a completely different view.
When finally the formation full,
The shape and lovely hue,
And sweet rain from it fall,
In a promise of sunlight anew.

My Angel
© Louise Severn
I have a special friend
One whom I can trust.
She deserves a trophy
And that I feel a must.
You see she is so precious
Her kind are rare and few.
Debbie your an angel
And I think the world of you.
If ever I need to talk
My friend I know your there,
Holding out your arms
And showing that you care
Debbie you are special
Friends like you are hard to find
I must be one of the lucky ones to have you in my life.

Very Special Friends
© Carol Holt
We didn’t grow up together.
We didn’t start out as friends.
In fact, when we first got together,
We didn’t like each other then.
But times change, situations change,
Our relationship took a new turn.
After getting to know each other,
There was much we both had to learn.
Now when we talk to each other,
Lover is never too far away.
Today we’re as close as sisters,
And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

A Kind-Hearted Angel
© Arianna Villafane
Your kindness has been blessed to me
From the stars above.
Your words all fill my heart with joy
And the utmost love.
You make me laugh and smile bright,
Filling me with joy of plenty.
You really have made my night
With your kind words of many.
How do you do it?
I would like to know,
For your words so skillfully fit,
Making my smile glow.
Your kindness has been blessed to me,
Sweeter than a dove.
You really are the sweetest thing,
An angel from above.

Special Friend
© Joseline Velasco
Memories hurt when I thought back
To the times I thought were sad
The smile I wore disappeared
Replaced with the foulest tears.
Then I met someone new
That special someone was you
Drying the pain, healing the sorrow
I moved myself along with you.
You showed me life, its meanings and ways
Happiness that was here to stay
But a feeling that can’t ever be replaced
Is the excitement you gave.

Love Will Come Again
© Natalie Gronner
People say love comes and goes…
I say let the truth be known…
We have several types of love;
for our children,
parents,
and friends,
but there is a gentle love
that I call my best friend.
I’ve been fortunate enough to love or I thought it was…
until I met a man that showed me what is a best friend.
He taught me how to laugh, cry,
and show me how it feels to have emotions again,
but some how life took over
and we said our good-byes,
but you see he gave me something I was missing
and that was me.
I thank my special friend
for I will never forget
how wonderful it was to be loved again.

God’s Gift To Me
© Kerry R. DeVore
You are my sunshine.
You are my shining star.
Everything I’m not,
You are.
You make me laugh.
You make my heart smile.
Everything you do
Makes life worthwhile.
You give lovingly.
You always have cheer.
Everything you are
I hold dear.
You are so sweet.
You are so very kind.
Everything I cherish,
In you I find.
You are a blessing.
You are an angel I see.
Everything about you
Is God’s gift to me.

Our Friendship
© Marcia M. Griffith
As I think of our friendship, I begin to see
Mere words can’t describe what you mean to me.
When this cold, hard world has me lonesome and blue,
I look up to see my angel, my sweet angel, you.
You dry the tears that fall from my eyes.
You bring me sunshine to brighten my sky.
You rescue me when I’m scared and alone
And take my hand to lead me home.
No matter the miles that keep us apart,
We’re always together in each other’s hearts.
Sometimes we take for granted, I fear,
The ones who are so close and dear.
We get so caught up in life and things we must do.
Sometimes we forget to stop and say I love you.
If ever you felt I forgot or didn’t care,
Let me stop right now; my true feelings I’ll share.
You’re the sun in my sky, the bed where I lie.
You’re the home where I’m safe, the field where I play.
You’re everything I am, everything I do.
So what I am saying is I LOVE YOU!

You Are My World
© Chelsea
You’re the thought that starts each morning,
the conclusion to each day.
I envision you in all that I do
and everything I say.
You’re the smile on my face,
the sparkle in my eye,
the warmth inside my heart,
the fullness in my life.
The only hand that’s laced to mine,
the coat upon my back.
My friend and love, you have my heart;
I will never turn back.
You’re the dimple in my cheek,
the constant tingle in my soul,
the voice that makes me weak.
You’re the one who shields the cold.
You’re all I’ve wanted,
all that I need.
You’re all I dream of,
You mean so much to me.

Kind, Joyous, Amazing Best Friend
© Kody Stegmann
You have become my closest friend.
It’s been just about a year,
And you’re the one I turn to
When I’m down and need an ear.
Ever since the day you told me your secret,
I have changed my ways for the better,
And I started to feel
Like I actually matter.
You have always been there for me
As I have been for you.
I hope we never drift apart.
I don’t know what I’d do without you.
You’ve become so important in my life.
Things would be different without you.
I’d still be a bit of a tool,
And I’d always be feeling blue.
I thank you for all the times we’ve shared.
It has been the best year ever.
Even when we go our separate ways,
The bond we share, I will never sever.

A Friend Is…
© Chloe G. Railsback
A friend is a person
who has always has your back,
a person
who has faith in you and says that you can.
A friend is a person
who points you onward, instead of leading you askew,
a person
who gives you hope to see the journey through.
A friend is a person
who helps you up when you’ve fallen,
a person
who cheers you up when you’re sullen.
A friend is a person
who even though all have passed,
still cheers you on,
even if you’re in last.
A friend is a person
who remembers what you knew,
a person
who stands by you and forgets every feud.

Long-Lost Friends
© Patricia A. Fleming
To see that face you’ve missed so much,
To feel that warmth inside.
To see how much you mean to them,
Reflected in their eyes.
To feel that sense of comfort
That you felt in times gone by.
To hug someone with all your might,
To laugh until you cry.
To escape to all those memories,
Those moments that you shared.
To feel each strong emotion,
As if you were right there.
To recall that sense of purpose
That you felt when so naïve.
And the world was open wide to you
And you were fearless and so free.
To remember all those special friends
Who have long since passed away.
To share regrets you each possess
And haunt you still today.
To reveal whatever pain you’ve had
In the years that have gone by.
And together feel so grateful
That somehow you both survived.
To know this person inside out,
Their past secrets and their schemes.
Who helped you through some troubled times
And shared your hopes and dreams.
To know your heart and soul are safe
And there is no judgment there.
And no matter what you say or do,
All they want to do is care.
To feel that love that makes you whole
And finally find yourself again.
No, there’s nothing better in this life,
Than being with a long-lost friend!

What Friends Do
© Shea And Clare
Friends are there when you’re feeling blue
And you’re feeling down
Their there to make you smile
And to turn your frown around
They’ll be there for your first date
And they’ll be there for you to tell
And when that boy breaks your heart
She’ll tell you its just as well
She’s there for you
Throughout the years
To share the laughs
And to share the tears
She fights with you sometimes
But you always make it through
You can’t stay mad at her
She means too much to you
So when you have a good friend
Remember to keep her nearby
Because the best thing you can have
Is a good friend by your side

We Belong Together
© Taylor
Here is a place for you and me,
A special place for only us two,
We have a special bond that no one can see,
It’s tightly wrapped in a cocoon,
We are fiercely together in this magical place,
Even through times when threads might break,
But every time a new one awakes,
To bring us closer and keep us strong,
In this very special place in which together we belong.

Forever On My Mind
© Alton L. Smith
I don’t know why God blessed me,
With such good friends as you
When my pain gets me down
And I just don’t know what to do
I just think of you and it helps me through
Something you said or even just a look you gave
Just gives me the hope to want to live
You share your smiles your laughter and even your heart
That is why it is so very hard to part
But even though we’re not together all the time
You’re always in my heart and forever on my mind.

Simple attitudes,

We may not be sisters by birth,
But somewhere deep within me,
I feel I’ve known you forever.
You’re my true sister, FOREVER.
You’re my angelic sister,

We were friends by God’s choice
But sisters by our own.
You’re so pure,
You’re so true,
You’re so beautiful,
You’re my true sister forever.

A Special Kind Of Love
© Julia Kistner
There never was such a friendship that has made me feel this way.
It’s been there from the beginning, so I just want to say,
You were there with me when it was hard to forget
That my heart was aching and it hadn’t healed yet.
The things you’ve said have proved me right
That this friendship has made me see the light.
You’ve never tossed around my heart, and I know it’s true
Because this is a special kind of love for me and for you.

For A Friend Who Helped Me
© Gillian E. Jones
A person who will listen and not condemn,
Someone on whom you can depend.
They will not flee when bad times are here.
Instead, they will be there to lend an ear.
They will think of ways to make you smile
So you can be happy for a while.
When times are good and happy thereafter,
They will be there to share the laughter.
Do not forget your friends at all,
For they pick you up when you fall.
Do not expect to just take and hold.
Give friendship back; it is pure gold.

I Need You
© Reem
My soul disappeared.
My heart stopped its beat.
My eyes can’t see clear.
My body is full of heat.
I’m dying from inside.
I’m living a nightmare
‘Cause you’re not by my side.
I just want you to always be there.
I want your love.
I want your care.
Hand in hand.
Side by side.
Standing on our land.
And we’ve got nothing to hide.
Friends forever, even after death.
You’ll always be my only breath.

What Is A Friend?
© Barbara M. Zellner
A good friend is someone
who cares about you.
They are someone who will be
there when you’re down.
A good friend is someone
who’s willing to help you
when you are in a little trouble
that’s hard to get out.
A good friend is someone
who you can talk to
and trust with your problems
in not telling anyone else.
A good friend is someone
who will come and stop
you from taking your life
and sit down to show you
all of the good things
to live for.
That’s what a good friend is!

Friendship, What Is It?
Friendship is a rainbow at the end of a rain shower.
Friendship is a sweeping, cool breeze on a warm summer’s day
Friendship is a warm, fuzzy kitten lying across my feet.
Friendship is a dancing fire on a cold winter’s night.
Friendship is people wanting to spend time together,
To share laughter and tears, in good times or bad.
Friendship is people wanting to be there to support one another.
Friendship is knowing there will always be someone to talk to.
Friendship is something that I share with you.
I know that you will be there for me.
I know that I will be there for you.
Together we are a team.
Our friendship is special.
It is heartwarming and cozy.
It is reliable and dependable.
Our friendship belongs to us.

There Is Always Hope In Friendship
© Cassandra M. Cook
It was a day in the life
Full of sadness and of strife.
You never thought you’d make it through.
Feeling people think the worst of you,
Although it isn’t always said.
The nightmares follow you to bed
And when you dream, it haunts you still.
It holds you down against your will
So many tears have drowned your past,
But the suffocating wouldn’t last.
One day you woke and saw the truth
Of the pain and suffering that stole your youth.
Something special made you well.
It broke that sad and awful spell.
You knew at once it wouldn’t end,
The happiness given by a true friend.

Gift From God
© Ilde S.
This is for the most amazing person I’ve met,
the person that makes me feel awake.
The only one that can make my day,
by just having a smile on her face.
This is for the soul that makes mine twinkle
like a star among millions.
The soul that will make me say yay,
even in times of hopelessness.
This is for the eyes that break my barriers,
that look right through the mist.
For the beautiful pools of chocolate,
that melt me from within.
This is to the heart that will make mine skip,
like a kid among the trees.
This is for my personal moon,
that brightens my atmosphere.
This is to my blessing from god
the spirits, the wind, and whoever might exist.
To the beautiful being that makes my life worth living,
And the one I want to share it with.
If you haven’t guessed yet,
This is for you my best friend.

Your Special Friend
© Amy
Friendship is like life.
It goes away,
And comes again.
Friendship can be broken,
Like a special china,
Or like a heart.
Friendship can form
As fast as light
Or as slow as a turtle.
Only your special friend
Supports you when you break down.
Only your special friend
Cries when you cry.
Only your special friend
Chooses the same choices as you do.
Only your special friend
Makes the same mistakes as you do.
Only your shadow is your special friend.

My Friend
© Heidi Davin
Whenever I think of the times we’ve shared together,
I’m reminded of the pains and heartaches we’ve had to weather.
It seems no matter what’s going on,
To find comfort we don’t have to wait too long.
What then do we do when times get harder, as we continue to grow older?
Let me just say this to you,
Our friendship is very dear and special, too.
So please, no matter what happens between us,
Don’t let our friendship turn to dust.
Or I will without a doubt fall apart,
With the pieces of my broken heart.

A Friend, Who Knew?
© Vanessa
Here this stranger stands right in front of me
Is she an imposter imposed to hurt me next
Or a friend to be
Questions pounded in my head, but I was willing to take the chance
The perception you see isn’t who she should be perceived
She felt the anger, brought out the pain
Started sealing my broken heart
That was on its way to a grave
A chance was taken and no regrets were made
Beautiful on the inside as well as the out
If she ever sought a soul, I’m here to help
Here hard times have beat her, But still she stands tall
She is understanding of life, Its like she’s been through it all
No judgments has ever been past for she’s not one to judge
We shared our stories, it seems we share something in common
Cried and laughed
I looked back upon a chance I took way back
She snuck in and stole my trust
But she’s my Great Friend who I’ve grown to love

A Friend I Know As Father
© Bob Krug
If you, like I, learned from your life,
Then you too know it’s true.
That life is filled with miracles,
for some, a precious few.
I think for those that few exist.
Perhaps they need look harder.
For one of my best gifts of all,
was a friend I knew as father.
I think of all the years gone by,
how different things would be,
had my real dad put forth the love,
that this man’s shown to me.
Yet as our time continued on,
reality set in,
and my life with my new great dad,
then truly did begin.
Each day was spent if not with him,
awaiting when would come,
the next great time that he and I,
would have ourselves some fun.
We bowled, played pool, ate frequently,
and did what we did wish,
and although we never caught a thing,
we even tried to fish.
My miracle I met one day,
how thankful I sure am,
for such a truly wondrous thing,
my friend, my dad, this man.
My wish how is from now on this,
that I may somehow be,
the type of son my dad deserves,
the son he’s found in me.
May you too find your miracles,
no matter what the bother.
For they exist and I found mine.
My friend, I know as father.

Real Friends Care

Real friends care
That much I know
They help you through thick and thin
And when someone you love must go
I knew when I met you
That you were the one
Who would help me through everything
And make my pain done
You have showed me the way
You have showed me the light
Real friends care
That much is right

You Were There
© Emily Robinson
When tears fell from my eyes,
you were there to brush them away.
When I was lost in confusion,
you were there to say that everything would be okay.
When I stood before you falling apart,
you were there to lend your heart.
When I felt like no one could understand,
you were there to take my hand.
When no one else was left to care,
you were there.

Bonds Of Friendship
© Craig Burkholder
From the day that I first knew you,
Your heart was pure and kind;
Your smile was sweet and innocent,
Your wit was well refined.
The sparkle in your eyes was keen,
Your friendship fast and real;
Soft words were your virtue,
And humor your appeal.
We grew as friends together,
We laughed and shared our dreams;
Along the way crush or two,
Went unrevealed, it seems.
As years rolled on, our paths were split,
Our roads went separate ways;
We each pursued our interests,
That occupied our days.
We soon forgot our youthful bliss,
Of tender carefree years;
We didn’t talk or keep in touch,
Throughout life’s pain and tears.
Then my darkest hour came,
And tried me to my core;
To save my heart from ruin,
I closed and locked the door.
Then out of every nowhere,
With precise directed cue;
An old familiar smile,
Came slowly into view.
Although much time was gone,
And the die of fate long cast;
It was as if we hadn’t missed,
A second of the past.
You listened with attentive care,
And reassured my mind;
That loving hearts are still alive,
With purpose and design.
Deep inside I’ve locked way,
Emotions yet untold;
As time goes on, and bonds grow strong,
They will all unfold.
So thank you, friend, for taking time,
To demonstrate your love;
It’s yet another blessing that,
I’m undeserving of.

Will You Ever?
© Kaitlyn M. Yawn
I don’t think you will
Ever fully understand
How you’ve touched my life
And made me who I am.
I don’t think you could ever know
Just how truly special you are,
That even on the darkest nights
You are my brightest star.
You’ve allowed me to experience
Something very hard to find,
Unconditional love that exists
In my body, soul, and mind.
I don’t think you could ever feel
All the love I have to give,
And I’m sure you’ll never realize
You’ve been my will to live.
You are an amazing person,
And without you I don’t know where I’d be.
Having you in my life
Completes and fulfills every part of me.
